Thermoforming is a plastic manufacturing process that involves heating a plastic sheet and forming it using a mold to specific shapes. The shaped plastic then gets cooled down and trimmed to result in the finished part. The process is executed using a thermoforming machine to heat and stretch the pliable thermoplastic sheet over the mold. At our office we offer an array of appliances from bleaching trays to mouthguards, we can provide you with additional laboratory services outside the scope of traditional orthodontics.
Once your patient has received perfect teeth, we can make essix retainers, or invisible retainers to maintain their great smiles. One step further we can make bleaching trays or a mouthguard to prevent and/or reduce injury and damage during sports activities. Our bleaching kits come in several strengths. The mouthguards come in a large range of colors and types. This is all possible thanks to our Erkoform machine and the traditional thermoforming machine in our laboratory.
